The State of Alaska DOT/PF State Equipment Fleet is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of all State owned vehicles and heavy equipment. The State Equipment Fleet is now selling all surplus equipment through the online auction bidding process. We currently offer all fleet equipment and vehicles through GovDeals for our online auctions. Prior to July 1, 2012, the Boulder campus's surplus property program operated as a “designated off-site disposal facility” in accordance with Colorado Surplus Property HB 06-1075 Procedures for Higher Education, as agreed upon by Colorado Correctional Industries (CCI) and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.  In 2011, C.R.S 17-24-106 was amended to exclude institutions of higher education from the requirements of CCI's surplus property program.  This policy formally establishes authority for administering the campus' surplus property program and outlines requirements for the program to help ensure that the institution meets its fiduciary responsibilities. 
The Overseas Disposal team, part of the DSA’s CD, are responsible for the disposal of all MOD equipment outside the UK. They operate in places like Cyprus, Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands and operational theatres to arrange local sales of MOD equipment or, when required, they will assist in assessing the equipment that is required to be shipped back to the UK for disposal.
